Effective Logos

The Redwings logo is pretty recognizable with two evident meanings. The wings are a nod to the actual individual team it represents in hockey, which is unique but simple. Meanwhile, the wheel represents where the team is from: Detroit, also known as motorcity. These work together well due to their similar theme of movement, a good attribute to highlight in a sports team.

The Louis Vuitton logo is once again a simple idea as it is just the initials, but due to its typology, it has a more suave look. This paired with their repeating designs on their products, it looks pleasing and fancy despite the fact that it's just the logo plastered across the bags and other products, which would normally be considered tacky.

The McDonald's logo is probably one of the most recognizable brands in the world. It's incredibly simple yet has many meanings, as the arches represent their initial, the arches on their buildings, and their french fries. Additionally, their commercials connected both a movement and a jingle to just this logo which immediately makes people make more links between this logo and its origins. And to push the simplicity aspect of this brand, this color combination is immediately connected to this brand and more specifically its mascot. The amount of outreach such a simple logo does is astonishing.
