I grew up in Milan, Michigan and graduated with Cum Laude and a 3.847 GPA from Milan High School. I went to Ohio originally to pursue a Biomedical Engineering degree at the University of Toledo, but switched to English with a creative writing concentration my second semester. In my third semester, I started my art minor and am working with my creative pursuits to one day become an author, either of the novelist or poet variety.
Process
My talents have been picked up over the years, mostly due to my crafty mother and various interests in just about anything. I've always said I'll try anything once, so I'm happy to try new crafts and mediums, and I'm just hopeful more things stick than not. My inspiration mostly comes from my exposure online to different artists. I've had a fascination to animatics and other art videos I've found on the internet. Tiktok has actually been a wonderful platform for seeing different people's crafts, passions, and processes. I've also taken a lot of inspiration from artists around me, such as my friends and family or artists I can view the work of in local areas. New exposure and experiences is always something I'm willing to seek out, and it's gotten me this far, so I'm going to stick to it.
Pronouncement
I learn and create whatever next art piece comes to me. Whether that means creating wearable works or expressing myself through a poem or painting, I'm just going with the flow and chasing whatever makes me happy and satisfied. Even if I am not yet masterful of a medium, anything worth doing to me is worth doing badly.
