Assignment #2

Our assignment time this time was to create a logo for a fake company and then implement that onto products that you might see such a logo on. I chose to make the company Tainted Trinkets, a store which sells pre-owned, vintage, and collectable items. The design is a dragon eye--keying the catch-phrase "a real dragon's hoard"-- which showcases the name of the store on the eyelids. I made various versions of the design in different color palettes for variety and then put each of those design onto different pieces of merch and apparel. Each logo is labelled with what version it and and each product is labelled with the logo used in it and what the actual product is. My critique from the class: - the blue one looks like evil eye

- the words get lost a bit

- white text might make better contrast

- more solid/thicker text font will help the words pop

- the green and red one looks like watermelon

- the green one makes someone think of goblins and another of reptiles - the green and red one doesn't look like Christmas due to hues

- the eye and pupil shape are both oval making it looked stretched out, so maybe try making the iris circular

- black and gold/white and blue are more "dragon-y" colors to someone, going off the idea of those games with good vs evil dragons. Maybe try different palettes like that for different kinds of trinkets

- the dragon theme gets lost on someone, an additional element like a dragon's tail might make it more obvious in what is being conveyed

- maybe try a font where a tail comes off the end to go off the previous comment

- a dragon claw, scales, or horns might make it more obvious too

- the purple and green ones feels more dragon-y to someone because of the Shrek dragon

- make the black and white one entirely black and white, no gray, for a more simple and stronger logo

- definitely more dragon elements!!!

Assignment #3

I started this project with the idea of making a track that makes the listener feel like they are running from something, whatever that...
